Tim LaMonte – Hitting Coach & Player Development Specialist
Bridging Data & Development to Build Elite Hitters
With over 25 years of coaching experience, including roles with the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, and Houston Astros, Tim LaMonte brings a unique blend of biomechanics, skill acquisition, and data-driven training to hitters at every level. His expertise in Trackman/ HITTRAX, Blast Motion, K-Vest, and Kinetrax Dugout allows him to deliver MLB-level coaching tailored to each athlete’s swing, movement patterns, and approach at the plate.
Tim’s coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in a thorough understanding of the individual athlete first—prioritizing their unique needs over a rigid, one-size-fits-all method. His innovative approach masterfully integrates fundamental principles of gross motor skills and locomotion, alongside specialized techniques for developing rotational power. This multifaceted strategy is designed to enhance critical aspects such as bat speed, biomechanical sequencing, and cognitive development, ultimately empowering players to cultivate exceptional power, remarkable adjustability, and a game-ready mindset essential for success on the field.
As a former MiLB hitting coordinator and MLB assistant hitting coach, he has helped players refine their swings through real-time data tracking, movement analysis, and tailored training plans. Whether working in-person or remotely, Tim’s goal is simple: help hitters maximize their potential by training smarter, not harder.
